Statement for the Newark Charter School Fund on the Approval of Two Charter Schools in Newark

NEWARK, N.J. – January 20, 2012 – Mashea Ashton, CEO of the Newark Charter School Fund, issued the following statement today regarding the approval of two charter schools in Newark:

"We welcome another two charter schools to the Newark community. Newark is home to some of the most innovative and high-performing charter schools in the state. We're excited about the opportunity this creates for more high-quality public school options for Newark children."
